Role Summary
Develop, maintain, and monitor activity-specific KPIs to evaluate key Medical Affairs activities, measure impact, and provide data-driven transparency on resource allocation
Responsibilities
- Support KPI and analysis definition: Collaborate with Medical Impact and Outcomes team lead to ensure KPIs can be efficiently computed; support analyses planning and insights communication
- Planning and conduct analytics: Develop and calculate metrics to evaluate Medical Affairs activities, impact, and resource allocation; analyze KPIs and data points to identify trends and insights; develop cascade of performance metrics linking individual/Category/Affiliate performance to overall Medical goals; support development of systems to monitor metrics and identify underperformance; source data from various systems to populate dashboards; maintain tools and models according to best practices
- Data management: Gather, prepares, and maintains datasets required to perform analytics; oversee data systems in collaboration with data management lead to ensure proper collection, storage, and processing; collaborate with Medical Affairs teams to support timely reporting of data and escalate roadblocks as necessary
- Collaborate with broader stakeholders: Work with UI experts to visualize data analyses in dashboards; regularly collect user feedback to update metrics; provide ongoing support to resolve technical or data-related issues and answer questions from stakeholders
Qualifications
- Required: Advanced degree in life sciences, data analytics, or similar
- Required: Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience or Master's/MBA with 5+ years of experience
- Required: Demonstrated effectiveness in a cross-functional business environment
- Required: Proven leadership skills in managing people and projects (direct or matrixed)
- Required: Strong interpersonal skills to build credibility with leaders and stakeholders
- Required: Ability to partner cross-culturally/regionally; effective talent management
- Required: Effective English verbal and written communication across scientific/technical, regulatory, and other contexts
- Required: In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical medicine business, including clinical trial design, GCP/data interpretation, drug development, regulatory and promotional rules, legal/compliance, and opportunity evaluations
- Required: Demonstrated breadth of diverse leadership experiences, ability to influence, coach others, and guide teams to achieve outcomes
- Preferred: MBA or related degrees
- Preferred: 7+ years data analytics and dashboard development/reporting experience
