Role Summary

Develop, maintain, and monitor activity-specific KPIs to evaluate key Medical Affairs activities, measure impact, and provide data-driven transparency on resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Support KPI and analysis definition
    • Collaborate with Medical Impact and Outcomes team lead to ensure KPIs can be efficiently computed
    • Support Medical Impact and Outcomes team lead for analyses strategic planning and insights communication
  • Planning and conduct analytics
    • Develop and calculate metrics to evaluate Medical Affairs activities, impact, and resource allocation
    • Analyze KPIs and data points to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business outcomes
    • Develop cascade of performance metrics that link assessment of individual and Category / Affiliate performance to overall Medical goals
    • Support development of systems to monitor metrics and proactively identify underperformance or changes in particular areas of Medical Affairs activity
    • Source and pull data from various systems and databases to populate the dashboards with accurate and up-to-date information
    • Maintain tools and models according to best practices
  • Data management
    • Gather, prepares, and maintains datasets required to perform analytics
    • Oversee data systems holding in close collaboration with data mgmt. lead and ensure appropriate collection, storage, and processing of data within team
    • Collaborate with Medical Affairs teams to support the efficient and timely reporting of data in appropriate formats and escalate roadblocks with leadership as necessary
  • Collaborate with broader stakeholders
    • Collaborate with UI experts to ensure data analyses can be easily visualized in dashboard(s)
    • Regularly collect user feedback to update existing metrics and improve future analyses
    • Provide ongoing support to resolve technical or data-related issues and answer questions from stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Required: Advanced degree in life sciences, data analytics or similar
  • Required: Bachelors degree with 6+ years experience or Masters/MBA with 5+ years experience
  • Required: Demonstrated effectiveness working in cross-functional business environment
  • Required: Proven leadership skills in managing people and projects both directly and via a matrixed or indirect leadership
  • Required: Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and credibility with leaders and external stakeholders
  • Required: Ability to partner cross culturally/regionally
  • Required: Effective talent management
  • Required: Effective English verbal and written communication across diverse settings (scientific/technical, regulatory, etc.)
  • Required: In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical medicine including clinical trial design, GCP, regulatory and promotional rules/guidance, and compliance
  • Required: Ability to influence, develop, coach others, and lead cross-functional work to achieve meaningful outcomes

Education

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, data analytics or related field
  • MBA or related degrees (preferred)

Additional Requirements

  • Travel as required, up to 40% of role
