Role: Medical Affairs Scientific Communications Director leading strategic development and execution of scientific communication plans for MSA, supporting launch readiness and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities: oversee publication planning, congress strategy, data dissemination, medical and digital content development, and external agency management; collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including HEOR, Clinical Development, Compliance, and Medical Affairs to ensure scientific accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment; build relationships with investigators and KOLs; represent Lundbeck in scientific forums. Requirements: advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, MS); 5+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech Medical Affairs, with at least 2+ years in medical strategy, publication planning, and congress management; strong understanding of clinical trial data, evidence generation, and compliance; experience with medical content development and regulatory review. High-Value: focus on rare neurological diseases, specifically Multiple System Atrophy; experience with rare disease community engagement; knowledge of FDA regulations; experience leading publications and congress activities. Work setup: based in Deerfield, IL preferred, with up to 35% domestic travel; international travel may be required.
