Role Summary

The Media Manager partners with assigned brand teams to set paid media strategies, determine advertising channels and establish media spending by channel. They will work across the organization to communicate media strategies, plans, and results for both consumer and professional media, and develop and execute strategic media plans with our media agencies of record for a set of brands/indications. The role requires experience with traditional and digital media channels to conceive, plan, and execute innovative media solutions aligned with each brand’s business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute all media activities under assigned brands/indications; identify target audiences and ideal channels to reach them
  • Collaborate with media agencies to identify and recommend media outlets that fit the target audience; implement the schedule and disseminate media flowcharts
  • Manage media billing and finance processes; provide POVs and white papers; present to Marketing teams and cross-functional teams
  • Develop media strategies and plans that align with brand business goals; ensure plans include innovation and test & learn components
  • Work with the media agency to translate strategies into tactics; demonstrate subject matter expertise and adaptability
  • Manage relationships with Marketing teams and agencies of record; coach and mentor agency personnel; collaborate with internal partners on shared goals
  • Ensure adherence to planning processes, policies, and procedures; monitor budgets and generate timely reports
  • Track industry trends and competitive activity; disseminate insights to brand teams and data analytics groups

Qualifications

  • College degree with 5-8 years of Paid Media experience across TV/offline, digital, programmatic, social, etc.
  • Prior media agency experience is a must
  • Experience with media in the Pharma industry is a plus
  • Ability to determine brand media goals, strategies, tactics and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders
  • Experience with digital activation platforms and data providers, in addition to offline and strategy experience, is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and vendors simultaneously with high attention to detail and adherence to departmental process
  • Ability to multi-task and oversee several media plans, vendors, and internal constituents while managing deadlines and coordinating across groups
  • Extremely organized and proactive with the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced team environment
  • Constant learner who keeps up on trends and innovations in the marketplace
  • Must be able to negotiate with vendors and agencies

Additional Requirements

  • This is a hybrid position and requires the ability to commute to the Mettawa, IL office at least 3 days per week
