Role Summary
The Material Coordinator is responsible for the physical and transactional movement of material to support production activities.
Responsibilities
- Follow work instructions and supervisor priorities to provide accurate and timely kitted material to support production activity.
- Locate and retrieve materials in a safe manner in accordance to storage and handling requirements.
- Recognize, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Communicate status of material kits to functional groups.
- Process material transactions accurately and timely.
- Maintain integrity of inventory to revision, lot and expiration.
- Operate powered industrial truck equipment as required.
- Maintain knowledge of the work performed in the department and learn how to perform multiple functions within the department.
- Adhere to established work schedules including overtime and weekend work as needed.
- Understand and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Complete all compliance training as required.
- Understand database ERP systems and be able to complete tasks such as data entry, reporting, etc.
- Meet all quality expectations for the role.
- Ability to support and help others in different departments showing cooperation and teamwork.
- Demonstrate an increasing level of independence in daily work tasks
- Follows company policies and practices as outlined in the Handbook, SOPs and WIs and as well as follows guidelines regarding safety as outlined in the safety program and in accordance to the job function.
- Manages time well and will put in extended time as needed
- Willingness to accept changes in work from day-to-day within reasonable and expected boundaries
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in an inventory-based function.
- Excellent computer skills, with ERP system experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Organizational skills and extreme attention to detail.
- Must be certified or willing to obtain certification for power equipment operation.
