Master Data Specialist

Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Master Data Specialist will be responsible for master data management in SAP, including new material introduction and production master data. The role interfaces with operations, QA, QC, the central warehouse, product markets, NPI, and MSAT to ensure site requirements are fulfilled. Responsible for supporting continuity of materials required for site operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with key local/global stakeholders (packaging operations, QC, pack technology, markets, commercial) to align supply/demand strategies.
- Coordinate and track secondary package launches and changes for NPIs, regulatory copy changes, pack optimization, product transfers, and site performance improvement initiatives.
- Create and manage project plans with supply sites for change activities (e.g., patient focus group studies, component specs/drawings, testing results, key line trials, regulatory filings) to meet supply milestones and regulatory requirements.
- Manage applicable SOPs for production master data management in VQD.
- Engage stakeholders (commercial, global supply chain management, local site representatives) to ensure successful delivery of new product introductions and projects.
- Ensure alignment and awareness of all projects across site functions.
- Define change control strategy for material management with global/local MSAT and local stakeholders.
- Facilitate material introduction in collaboration with local technology transfer teams to ensure items are available for site use.
- Perform responsibilities in compliance with GSK safety procedures, applicable EHS regulations, SOPs, and industry practices.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or life sciences
- 2+ years’ experience in master data, supply chain, or manufacturing support in a regulated environment
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) for material and production master data
- Experience with SAP Data Management
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or life sciences
- Project management knowledge
- SOP generation and management
- Ability to work in a matrix environment across site operations and divisions (GMS, EU, GSCM)
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and manage multiple projects
- Familiarity with GMP and NIH guidelines
- Intermediate computer skills; strong customer service record
- Familiarity with vaccines field and GSK standards
