Role Summary

This is a hybrid Marketing Manager role based in Mettawa, IL, required onsite Tuesday–Thursday. The Marketing Manager designs, develops, and implements commercial plans, programs, and promotional materials to build market leadership with a focus on health care providers. The role requires collaboration across sales, medical affairs, market research, regulatory, and external partners, with the ability to lead without authority and drive a integrated commercial team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop tactics that align to the strategic brand plan primarily for HCP marketing and nonpersonal promotional activities.
  • Create and execute peer-to-peer medical education content in partnership with external experts and consultants.
  • Support and participate in strategy and tactics for upcoming product launches.
  • Manage external industry conferences and engage with external customers.
  • Perform budget tracking.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate promotional programs and activities to achieve product sales objectives.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders where appropriate.
  • Direct marketing activities to targeted audiences ensuring communications are aligned to segment-specific drivers.
  • Monitor and analyze all sources of company and industry sales and marketing data.
  • Proactively support the sales force through ongoing communications of product plans and development/implementation of selling materials.
  • Conduct routine field travel with the sales force, participate in market research and patient immersions to understand market drivers and dynamics.
  • Manage internal/external networks, consultants, and agency partners.
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans and recommend changes in strategy or tactics as appropriate.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across levels and functions.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree
  • Required: 5-7+ years of general marketing experience or 3-5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on Oncology involving project/agency management
  • Required: 3-5 years of experience in leading independent projects
  • Required: Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Required: Concept of budget development and management for marketing programs and tactics
  • Required: Strong collaboration and team orientation
  • Required: Strong analytics with excellent overall business acumen including budget planning and management
  • Required: Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing matrix partners
  • Required: Leadership skills
  • Required: Ability to foster strong relationships with senior management and external partners
  • Preferred: Brand marketing/launch experience in pharmaceutical marketing or sales
  • Preferred: Sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology

  • Preferred: Knowledge of marketing concepts within strategic planning process
