Role Summary

Manufacturing Technician II for Takeda. Implements production processes in compliance with cGMP and safety guidelines, organizing and leading production activities, participating in projects and quality teams, and documenting process activities. Reports to the Supervisor, Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with movement of materials between inspection and packaging within the value stream.
  • Possibly serve as line lead to ensure smooth operation and daily goal attainment.
  • Document process activities on routers or in the electronic batch management system (EBM).
  • Lead Manufacturing Technicians I in daily tasks.
  • Operate general production equipment (e.g., Downstream Automated Packaging lines, forklifts, hoists).
  • Move pallets between rooms within the value stream.
  • Receive and distribute supplies into the production area.
  • Follow cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines, and other regulations.
  • Complete relevant paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
  • Perform daily cleaning of the production area to GMP standards.
  • Train employees/contractors on procedures.
  • Communicate safety, quality, compliance, and equipment issues to the manufacturing lead operator and supervisor.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of related experience, or AA or higher with 1+ years of related work experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Skills

  • Understanding of cGMP regulations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and good time management.
  • Professional demeanor at all times; ability to meet deadlines for production tasks.
  • Ability to work safely and maintain a quality working environment.
  • Participation in Continuous Improvement Teams; cross-functional communication.
  • Experience operating production equipment and moving materials; ability to train others.

Education

  • Not specified beyond required diplomas/experience.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 30 lbs, stand/walk for 8–12 hours, and work across multiple shifts including weekends as needed.
  • May require use of PPE and gowning in controlled environments; potential exposure to chemicals and moving equipment.
  • Must be able to work overtime and flexible hours, including non-traditional shifts.
