Role Summary
Manufacturing Technician II- Day Shift responsible for implementing all production processes in a cGMP environment, organizing and leading production activities, and documenting process activities. May serve as line lead and will ensure the line operates smoothly to meet daily goals.
Responsibilities
- Understand and apply cGMP regulations in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
- Lead production tasks, participate in departmental projects and quality teams.
- Assist with movement of materials between inspection, testing, and packaging stages within the value stream.
- Document process activities on routers or the electronic batch management system (EBM).
- Operate general production equipment (e.g., Downstream Automated Packaging lines, forklifts, hoists).
- Move pallets between rooms, receive and distribute supplies, and communicate with cross-functional teams.
- Follow safety, quality, GDP/GMP guidelines; complete relevant paperwork; perform daily cleaning in GMP fashion.
- Train employees/contractors on procedures; communicate safety, quality, and equipment issues to lead operator and supervisor.
- Lead Manufacturing Technicians I in daily tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: High school diploma or GED plus 2+ years of related experience or AA/AS with 1+ years of related work experience.
- Required: Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Skills
- Proficiency with cGMP and quality guidelines; ability to work under time constraints; attention to safety and quality.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
- Experience operating production equipment and performing documentation in batch systems.
Education
- High school diploma or GED; AA or higher preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs repeatedly; stand/walk for extended periods on 8–12 hour shifts.
- Must be able to work on multiple shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed; 12-hour shift (5:00 PM – 5:30 AM) may be required.
- Willingness to work around chemicals and in controlled environments with gowning and PPE as required.
- Ability to work in environments with moving equipment and loud noises; compliant with safety regulations.
