Operations
Responsibilities
- Safety: Create an environment where safety is the top priority; drive safety improvements and conduct routine safety gembas. Promote zero safety incidents in compliance with EHS requirements.
- People: Coordinate daily staffing to meet the production schedule; delegate tasks appropriately. Ensure team training to required standards. Conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and survey action plans. Ensure weekly time/attendance approvals. Communicate key information to the team.
- Operational: Coordinate shift activities to meet the production schedule; ensure a smooth shift handover for safe execution.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies; perform routine material checks, line clearance checks, and spot checks. Manage compliance issues impacting lot completion.
- Performance: Manage complete cycle time and change-over time; continuously identify improvements.
- Development: Train and develop direct reports with progressively challenging tasks; maintain development plans and growth opportunities; practice a growth mindset.
- Operation Excellence (OpEx): Participate in process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; sciences or engineering strongly preferred.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred.
- 2 years manufacturing/related experience required; supervisor experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (e.g., SAP).
- Working knowledge of safety, quality systems, and cGMPs required; good documentation/writing skills in a highly regulated environment.
- Aseptic production experience desirable (if applicable).
