Role Summary

The role of Shift Coordinator is an on-shift support role within the Manufacturing Department that acts as a liaison between manufacturing area team members with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, and EHSW. The Shift Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and training of employees on the shift while supporting business needs. This support can be in the form of leading the shift in the absence of an FLL, performing batch related tasks, reviewing or updating SOPs and training material, and providing guidance to operators.

Responsibilities

  • Promote safe working practices and standards of site EHSW.
  • Manage continuous improvement projects throughout the department as assigned.
  • Initiate/ Maintain accurate and thorough documentation for all aspects of Manufacturing operations, including but not limited to SOPs, PAS-X, forms, and master batch records as needed.
  • Update and review area procedural documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with a good documentation practices standard.
  • Responsible for monitoring and resolving Quality initiatives, such as investigations for deviations, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective/ preventative action plans (CAPA).
  • Participate in GEMBAs and risk assessments to audit 5S, EHSW, and GMP practices.
  • Preventing knowledge gaps by improving standard work and communication within shifts/ areas of site.
  • Monitor waste generation and promote waste reduction initiatives.
  • Understand and comply with all pertinent SOPs, WIs, Forms, Batch Documentation and GMP guidelines.
  • Participate in efforts to consistently reduce waste.
  • Oversee, review, update and execute training in the manufacturing space and support manufacturing performance.
  • Effectively communicate information to manufacturing team members.
  • Role modeling the expected behaviors and standards for all staff in the area.

Qualifications

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required: Minimum 1 year recent/consistent experience as a Sr. Compounder, Dispensary Technician or equivalent Compounder experience
  • Required: Ability to routinely lift 55 pounds, stand, bend and walk for extended periods of time
  • Preferred: Advanced level of SAP knowledge to resolve reconciliation issues and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Preferred: Advanced level of eBRS knowledge to support the team.
  • Preferred: Able to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with all stakeholders.
  • Preferred: Ability to wear respiratory protection to perform specific tasks.
  • Preferred: Ability to operate electric pallet jack and RICO tote movers.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated computer skills (Data entry, email, file access, Microsoft Word and Excel)
  • Preferred: Confident in the use of basic math calculations, percentages, fractions and decimal notation.
  • Preferred: Familiar with different measurement systems (e.g. Kilograms vs pounds).
  • Preferred: Ability to work flexible shifts as needed to support business needs.
  • Preferred: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Preferred: Ability to multi-task and create various ways of training/knowledge shares
  • Preferred: Able to perform job criteria with limited oversight
