Role Summary
Manufacturing Procurement Site Lead — Thousand Oaks. Lead procurement operations at a world-class manufacturing site, ensuring procurement deliverables support site-based manufacturing activities, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Act as the lead procurement business partner for the Site Head and cross-functional leadership, aligning procurement outcomes with site objectives.
Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement procurement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance, speed, and delivery.
- Champion a multi-year pipeline of savings and value plans aligned with category and business strategies and Finance’s annual budget.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Site Leadership Executive teams and influence the Sourcing agenda through strategic partnership.
- Provide strong financial competence and accountability to site executives and cross-functional leaders.
- Lead continuous improvement of sourcing processes, tools, and operating model; set goals and prioritize impact across initiatives; provide performance feedback to category and sourcing teams.
- Translate central programs into site-based deliverables and outcomes.
- Champion supplier relationship management for critical site-level suppliers.
- Identify and mitigate supply risk while ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g., GLP, GMP, ISO) and implementing quality control systems including audits and inspections.
- Monitor and report procurement performance metrics; adjust to meet goals and identify cost savings and process improvements.
- Evaluate and implement process improvements, environmental sustainability, and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and long-term goals.
- Maintain knowledge of industry standards and best practices; share innovative procurement solutions within the global manufacturing operations network.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree with 2+ years of procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations experience (preferably in a regulated industry); or Master’s with 4+ years; or Bachelor’s with 6+ years; or Associate’s with 10+ years; or high school diploma/GED with 12+ years.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices across manufacturing, capital, equipment, and technologies.
- Familiarity with GLP, GMP, ISO, OSHA regulations.
- Proven track record delivering value in procurement supporting manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills to monitor performance, optimize deliverables, and ensure compliance.
