Role Summary
Manufacturing Process Technician - Days (A Shift) at Amgen. Perform bulk manufacturing tasks in aseptic and non-aseptic environments according to SOPs and Batch Records. Work on a rotating 12-hour shift (7AM-7PM) with every other weekend off and Sundays premium pay during onboarding; initial onboarding is administrative.
Responsibilities
- Equipment and parts cleaning using manual and automated methods
- Set up and breakdown of single-use materials
- Weigh and dispense raw materials
- Operate and monitor clean systems, autoclaves, and processing equipment
- Sample collection, processing, storage and delivery
- Product and component reconciliation
- Solution preparation and transfer
- Materials handling, weighing and dispensing, power industrial vehicle operation
- Adhere to cGMPs, accurately complete documentation, perform calculations, and execute bulk manufacturing tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Required: High school/GED plus 1 year of manufacturing work or military experience OR Associate's Degree
- Preferred: 1+ years in a GMP/regulatory environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of GMP principles
- Drug substance manufacturing experience
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
- Ability to maintain focus during repetitious tasks
- Ability to assemble/disassemble, operate, and understand equipment per procedures
- Basic understanding of measurements, calculations, and the metric system
- Ability to work effectively in individual and team settings
- Ability to document process tasks in electronic batch records
- Coachability and ability to take feedback and show improvement
- Ability to follow written procedures and report malfunctions
- Good communication and attention to detail
