Manufacturing Process Technician I
What You Will Do
- Operate automated and innovative manufacturing equipment for packaging operations.
- Operate and troubleshoot faults and machine stops across automated assembly, labeling, and packaging equipment.
- Ensure product quality through equipment performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and applicable Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs).
- Report discrepancies to the Team Leader or Production Supervisor.
- Ensure quality and compliance using a Right First-Time approach.
- Receive and prepare components for manufacturing; feed components into equipment and perform sanitation.
- Document required paperwork; understand Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)/performance metrics; participate in daily performance meetings.
- Use pallet jacks and manually wrap pallets.
- Use computer systems for material inventory and electronic batch records.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive improvement opportunities.
- Ensure components and products are available for continuous operation.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED and 1 year of Manufacturing or Operations experience
- OR Associateβs degree
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years in a GMP/other regulated environment; knowledge of GMP principles.
- Ability to stand/sit for extended periods.
- Ability to assemble, disassemble, operate, and understand simple to moderately complex equipment per procedures.
- Basic understanding of measurements/calculations and the metric system.
- Ability to work in individual and team settings.
- Ability to document in electronic batch records.
- Coachable; follow written procedures; recognize and report malfunctions.
- Strong communication skills; high focus/attention to detail.
