Manufacturing Associate II/III β Cell Culture (Nights)

- 2-2-3 calendar rotation on nights (6:00 PM β 6:00 AM ET)
- Red Nights rotating schedule
Role Overview:
Manufacturing Associate in the Drug Substance facility (Research Triangle Park, RTP). Primary focus: Upstream Cell Culture operations in a clean environment governed by cGMP.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inoculation thaws, splits, and pools using aseptic technique with WAVE bags and ITV cans
- Prepare bioreactors by executing automated CIP/SIP recipes using DeltaV
- Standardize and calibrate pH and DO probes during bioreactor preparation
- Perform inoculation of bioreactors across multiple scales
- Support cell growth operations (media feeds and process additions)
- Conduct routine sampling and in-process testing to monitor product quality
- Standardize and maintain lab/manufacturing equipment (Vi-Cell Blu/XR, osmometer, pH meters, RapidPoint BGA, conductivity meters, biosafety cabinets, small-scale centrifuges)
- Accurately document activities per cGMP and SOPs
- Maintain a clean, safe, compliant manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, MSAT, Quality, and Engineering
Required/Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Manufacturing Associate II ($23.56 - $30.77):
- Bachelorβs (STEM preferred) and 0+ years direct experience OR BioWorks certificate/associate (STEM preferred) and 0+ years OR HS diploma/equivalent and 0.5+ years
- Previous experience in a GxP environment
- Ability to follow SOPs and work shift schedules
- Documentation and data integrity skills
- Aseptic technique and cleanroom practices preferred
Manufacturing Associate III ($25.96 - $34.13):
- Bachelorβs (STEM preferred) and 0.5+ years OR BioWorks/associate (STEM preferred) and 1+ year OR HS diploma/equivalent and 1.5+ years
- Previous experience in a cGMP environment
- Ability to follow SOPs and work shift schedules
- Documentation and data integrity skills
- Aseptic technique and cleanroom practices
- Exposure to DeltaV, Syncade, or similar systems
- Bioreactor preparation/inoculation/monitoring preferred; mammalian cell culture preferred
