Job Description:
The Tax Manager will support U.S. tax reporting, direct and indirect tax compliance, planning, and controversy, driving process improvement using tax technology, automation, data analytics, and AI.
Responsibilities:
- Review/manage working papers, schedules, reports/memos, and tax returns for income tax accounting and compliance.
- Support quarterly/annual U.S. income tax provisions; develop workplans; ensure SOX compliance; provide accurate work product for external auditors.
- Manage U.S. income tax compliance (estimates, extensions, returns).
- Prepare/review state and federal tax controversy documentation and responses.
- Oversee outsourced indirect tax compliance (sales/use, property tax, other filings); coordinate providers; support audits and resolve notices.
- Leverage tax technology, analytics platforms, AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Co-supervise/mentor staff and manage contractor positions.
- Monitor tax law changes and assess organizational impact.
- Conduct technical tax research and document conclusions.
Qualifications:
Required: BS/BA accounting/finance (CPA or MS Taxation preferred); strong U.S. federal/state tax knowledge; tax research tool proficiency; 5+ years relevant experience; high attention to detail; collaborate effectively across teams.
Desired: tax software/ERP (e.g., OneSource, SAP, HFM, HTP, Blackline); tax tech/data analytics/workflow automation (Power BI, Alteryx, Power Automate); public accounting; pharma experience.
Additional/Location:
- Hybrid work; onsite at least 8 days/month (commutable to Exton, PA or Bannockburn, IL).
Compensation/Benefits (as stated):
- Base salary range: $116,000β$182,270; potential incentives; medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, holidays, and sick/vacation time.
