SUMMARY
This role within U.S. Controllership will lead implementation of accounting changes from business initiatives, strategic transactions, integration activities, and transformation efforts. It will partner cross-functionally to keep accounting processes, controls, and reporting effective during organizational change. The role bridges technical accounting and accounting operations by operationalizing complex requirements within the general ledger and close process, and supports process improvement and strategic projects to enhance the accounting function.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as liaison between U.S. Controllership, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IT, and other stakeholders.
- Translate technical accounting conclusions for complex/non-routine matters; develop practical processes, controls, reporting requirements, and guidance.
- Create/maintain procedures, documentation, and metrics to improve consistency, efficiency, scalability, and control compliance.
- Drive process improvements using metrics, root cause analysis, and issue remediation.
- Lead integration activities for accounting and general ledger integration (close readiness, account mapping, data flows, related processes).
- Support accounting integration and system implementations (process design, testing, readiness, data validation, post-implementation stabilization).
- Identify opportunities to improve processes using technology, AI-enabled tools, and automation.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED / QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years progressive accounting experience (operational + technical).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX.
- Experience with complex/non-routine accounting and strategic transactions.
- Experience supporting accounting integrations/process transformations.
- Financial systems/ERP experience; SAP, Ariba, and Hyperion preferred.

EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).
- CPA or equivalent experience (preferred).

WORKSTYLE:
- Hybrid; onsite in San Rafael twice per week (not remote).
