Summary
This role within U.S. Controllership will lead the successful implementation of accounting changes from business initiatives, strategic transactions, integration activities, and transformation efforts. It will partner cross-functionally to keep accounting processes, controls, and reporting effective during organizational change.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between U.S. Controllership, Technical Accounting, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IT, and other stakeholders for complex accounting matters, strategic initiatives, and integration activities.
- Translate technical accounting conclusions and support complex/non-routine accounting matters by developing practical processes, controls, reporting requirements, and guidance.
- Create and maintain operational procedures, documentation, and metrics to improve consistency, efficiency, scalability, and control compliance.
- Drive process improvement initiatives (metrics, root cause analysis, issue remediation).
- Lead integration activities for accounting and general ledger integration (close readiness, account mapping, data flows).
- Support accounting integration and system implementation (process design, testing, system readiness, data validation, stabilization).
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes using technology, AI-enabled tools, automation, and emerging solutions.

Qualifications
- 7+ years progressive accounting experience (operational and technical accounting).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements.
- Experience with complex/non-routine accounting matters (technical accounting, strategic transactions, etc.).
- Experience supporting accounting integration/process transformations/organizational change.
- Experience with financial systems/ERP (SAP, Ariba, Hyperion preferred).

Education/Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (required).
- CPA or equivalent experience (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Workstyle
Hybrid; onsite presence in San Rafael twice per week (not remote).
