Purpose
This position is a key contributor and leader in the Corporate Tax organization, responsible for assisting in the preparation and review of the global tax provision.
Responsibilities
- Assist in quarterly and annual income tax accounting under ASC 740, including current/deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions, effective tax rate, and SOX documentation and compliance.
- Assist in integration of acquired business units/groups and understand key tax adjustments and risks.
- Assist in implementing tax technology solutions to automate and reduce risk in quarterly/annual compliance and provision processes.
- Research and analyze complex tax issues/transactions; assess income tax and accounting impact; communicate findings to senior management.
- Monitor income tax legislation and regulatory changes and assess impact to the Company.
- Communicate with senior management, outside auditors, advisors, and other stakeholders on global tax reporting issues.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
- Lead, train, and develop staff; partner with other Corporate Tax teams and business units.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting/Finance (required).
- 5+ years of tax experience, preferably in Big Four or Fortune 500.
- CPA and/or MST (a plus).
