Role Responsibilities
- Manage partnerships with CROs and strategic partners to deliver specialty laboratory testing (e.g., immunogenicity analyses; virologic/bacteriologic diagnostics).
- Identify, onboard, and maintain external vendors in line with procurement, legal, and quality requirements.
- Author/obtain documentation (work proposals, work orders, assay protocols, reports, analyst qualifications, data reports) and support assay development/qualification/validation as needed.
- Serve as project manager and liaison between R&D operations and external vendors; ensure testing is planned, monitored, and delivered to project needs.
- Lead joint routine/ad hoc meetings; maintain strong working relationships.
- Ensure quality data generation to support vaccine clinical trials.
- Schedule testing at CROs; ensure testing schedule accuracy.
- Contribute to yearly OEC budget to align CRO costs/spending with forecast and R&D financial objectives.
Qualifications (Basic)
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science + 2+ years vendor and project management in pharma/vaccines OR
- Master’s degree in Life Science + 1+ year OR
- PhD in Life Science + 1+ year; plus previous research and/or laboratory experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Supervisory principles; strong technical/analytical judgment; organizational/prioritization skills; excellent written/oral English and communications; interpersonal/technical/scientific communication skills; proven budget and project management experience.
