Serve as the primary ServiceNow Solution Architect for an assigned process area (e.g., Incident, Change, CMDB, Discovery), owning the design and implementation of scalable, secure solutions within Iris (Johnson & Johnson’s enterprise ServiceNow platform). Emphasizes technical judgment, platform sustainability, and hands-on solution quality in a highly governed environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Own architectural design/configuration decisions for a ServiceNow domain from requirements through production support.
- Translate business needs into scalable ServiceNow solutions aligned to enterprise standards and long-term strategy.
- Use platform constructs (configuration first; customization only when justified).
- Apply Business Rules and Script Includes with reuse, encapsulation, and maintainable server-side logic.
- Design/maintain appropriate ACLs (least privilege, performance, audit readiness).
- Avoid unnecessary customization; support de-customization and upgrade readiness.
- Act as domain SME for design reviews, backlog refinement, and complex issue resolution.
- Partner with platform leadership (M2) to align with upgrade plans, architectural standards, and GenAI initiatives.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years hands-on (not delegated) ServiceNow solution design for a large-scale platform.
- Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, and ACLs in an enterprise environment.
- Deep expertise in at least one process area (Incident, Change, CMDB, ITOM, GRC).
- Strong judgment on performance, security, maintainability, and upgrade impact.
- Clear communication to technical and functional stakeholders.
Strongly Preferred
- 2+ current ServiceNow certifications (CIS/ITSM, CMDB, ITOM; CAD; CSA).
- Now Assist hands-on in production; major upgrade experience.

- Anticipated base pay: $102,000–$177,100.
