Role Summary
Manager, S&OP for DePuy Synthes Sales within Johnson & Johnson, leading S&OP and inventory processes for MedTech distribution, with a focus on forecast accuracy, capacity planning, and cross-functional engagement to improve OTIF-D and service levels.
Responsibilities
- The S&OP and Inventory Integrator role will lead best in class Deliver S&OP process for the MedTech distribution center, ensuring a robust rolling 12-24 month forecast for the site and a cadence of strategic engagement with franchise partners to identify, evaluate and address capacity constraints, cost and opportunities to drive improvements in OTIF-D and service levels.
- Partner with the PLAN functional leads and act as the point of contact in the PIC COE for S&OP and inventory βΓΓ¬ including E&O management, project support to reduce inventory, and gross to net inventory analysis for Trauma franchise.
- Lead and develop scenario modeling capabilities focused on reducing risk, lowering cost, and optimizing inventory.
- Understand and translate volumes from planning and provide a clear hand off to distribution teams to enable appropriate planning.
- Prepare essential DC data highlighting performance and gaps on an end-to-end basis with Segment Deliver and Planning teams.
- Take a hands-on approach to develop digital capabilities, working with the DC Leadership team and logistics provider to translate forecast changes into actions.
- Understand the current operational model (Cost per Case) and how external forces impact financial applications.
- Engage franchise supply chain functions and deliver supporting teams, lead preparation activities, and analyze to support the S&OP process, closing capability or performance gaps in the E2E supply chain.
- Maintain structure and cadence of engagements with franchise partners for weekly prioritization and STEM/SOE actions and communications.
- Lead strategic change with a network of supply chain and delivery partners supporting US Ortho business units.
- Collaborate with franchise planning partners and distribution providers to ensure inventory accuracy between site and franchise ERP/Planning systems.
- Coordinate with franchise planning partners and distribution leadership to enable strategic capacity management and disposition of quarantined, slow moving and obsolete inventory.
Qualifications
Education
- A minimum of a BachelorβΓΓ΄s degree required; concentration in Business, Logistics, or Engineering preferred.
Required
- Minimum six (6) years of relevant professional work experience
- Experience in logistics/supply chain/finance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proven track record to lead, resolve conflicts, and influence change
- Ability to collaborate and build partnerships with cross-functional senior teammates
- Experience building functional excellence and driving continuous improvement plans
Preferred
- Experience leading change through collaborative S&OP processes
- Strong analytical/digital skills, experience with digital enablement/transformation
- Experience with inbound/outbound forecasts, data conversion for distribution modeling, constraint identification, or cost/trade-off decision support
- Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain and core planning processes
- Ability to lead change through analytics and navigate end-to-end tradeoffs
- Experience in New Product Introduction
- Experience with strategic inventory management, inventory synchronization, reserve, or SLOB resolution
- Experience working with Third Party Logistics providers
- Lean skills; Lean Green Belt
