Role Summary
Manager, Regional Sales (PAIN) (Northeast) for a global pharmaceutical company. Responsible for the daily supervision of one geographical region, coaching for improved performance, and monitoring sales activity. Leads a group of Sales Representatives and/or Territory Managers to generate prescriptions and raise product awareness.
Responsibilities
- Observe sales presentations by Sales Representatives/Territory Managers and provide feedback.
- Complete field coaching reports after travel days.
- Develop and maintain effective business plans for Territory Managers.
- Ensure teamwork across stakeholders for the brand (MSL, marketing, other field counterparts).
- Coach the group to improve sales presentations and hold representatives accountable for performance goals.
- Plan and conduct effective sales meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regional expectations.
- Share success stories and best practices with the region.
- Monitor data analytics to maximize impact on prescribing physicians.
- Implement and manage incentive programs for Sales Representatives/Territory Managers.
- Identify high-performing representatives for recognition and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Administration on literature requests, data maintenance, support issues, and fleet management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline.
- 3+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience.
- 3+ years of management or training experience in a pharmaceutical environment (preferred).
- Experience managing sales representatives.
- Demonstrated track record of success.
- Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Track record of building strong teams.
- Product launch experience (preferred).
- Sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Ability to interpret and use business data to drive results.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
- Ability to deliver presentations; capable of extensive travel and field responsibilities.
- Approximately 50-75% travel required.
