Role Summary
Manager, Regional Sales (PAIN) (Northeast) role overseeing daily supervision of a geographic region, coaching for performance, and monitoring sales activity. Leads a team of Sales Representatives and/or Territory Managers to raise product awareness, educate the market, and generate prescriptions.
Responsibilities
- Observe Sales Representatives/Territory Managersβ sales presentations in the field and provide feedback.
- Complete field coaching reports after travel days.
- Develop and maintain effective business plans for Territory Managers.
- Ensure teamwork across stakeholders for the brand (MSL, marketing, other field counterparts).
- Coach the group to improve sales presentations and hold representatives accountable for performance goals.
- Plan and conduct effective sales meetings.
- Ensure compliance with Company policies and regional expectations.
- Share success stories and best practices with the region.
- Monitor data analytics to maximize impact on prescribing physicians.
- Implement and manage incentive programs to motivate Sales Representatives/Territory Managers.
- Identify high-performing representatives for recognition and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Administration on literature requests, supplies, data maintenance, support issues, and fleet management.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline.
- 3+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience required.
- 3+ years of management or training experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Experience managing sales representatives required.
- Demonstrated track record of success required.
- Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Track record of building strong teams.
- Product launch experience preferred.
- Sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Ability to interpret and utilize business data to drive positive results.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build business relationships.
- Effective written and oral communication.
- Ability to deliver presentations; capable of performing all job duties including:
- Driving in a geographically large territory for long periods.
- Traveling by airplane and car, usually within the US.
- Remaining in standing position for prolonged periods.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
- Approximately 50-75% travel required.
