Role Summary
The Manager, Regional Sales (PAIN) oversees the daily supervision of a geographic region, coaching Sales Representatives and Territory Managers to improve performance and monitor sales activity. They lead a team responsible for product presentations to raise awareness, educate the market, and generate prescriptions. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Observe each Sales Representative/Territory Manager's sales presentations in the field and provide feedback.
- Complete field coaching reports after each travel day.
- Develop and maintain effective business plans for Territory Managers.
- Ensure teamwork across all stakeholders for the brand (e.g., MSL, marketing, other field counterparts).
- Coach the group to make effective sales presentations by offering examples that will improve performance and hold each representative accountable for achieving performance goals.
- Plan and conduct effective sales meetings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regional expectations.
- Work with representatives to share success stories and best practices with the region.
- Monitor data analytics to ensure full utilization for maximum impact on prescribing physicians.
- Implement and manage incentive programs as a motivating factor for Sales Representatives/Territory Managers.
- Identify high-performing representatives for recognition and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate and communicate with Marketing and Sales Administration on literature requests, supplies, relevant data maintenance, support issues, and fleet management issues.
Qualifications
- Required: 3+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of management or training experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
- Required: Experience managing sales representatives.
- Required: Demonstrated track record of success.
- Required: Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred: Track record of building strong teams.
- Preferred: Product launch experience.
- Required: Sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Required: Ability to interpret and utilize business data to drive positive business results.
- Required: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build business relationships.
- Required: Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
- Required: Ability to deliver presentations and perform job duties, including driving long distances across a large territory, traveling by airplane and car (usually within the US), and standing for prolonged periods.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.

- Travel: Approximately 50-75% travel required (primarily within the US).
- Physical demands: Ability to drive long distances, stand for prolonged periods, and perform other job-related duties as assigned.
