Position Summary
The Manager, Payroll (Workday) is responsible for accurate, compliant, and timely payroll administration and serves as functional lead for Workday Payroll and Time & Attendance (configuration, testing, reporting, troubleshooting, continuous improvement).

Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle U.S. payroll for exempt/non-exempt employees in Workday; manage global payroll with local partners and EOR.
- Process equity payroll; reconcile RSU and NQSO events, including taxation and coordination with external providers.
- Lead quarterly/annual payroll tax activities (reconciliation, amendments, W-2 processing) using Workday and ADP; respond to tax notices; maintain state/local accounts.
- Manage garnishments; administer HSA, FSA, and 401(k) contribution funding.
- Administer Workday timekeeping transactions and updates.
- Maintain/troubleshoot Workday Payroll configurations, integrations, and testing; identify automation opportunities.
- Serve as Workday Payroll SME for requests, releases, internal audits, and operational enhancements.
- Implement process improvements to shorten payroll cycles and reduce reconciliations.
- Partner with Finance on journal entries, GL postings, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Maintain payroll compliance; manage benefits-related payroll deductions and vendor payment/funding activities.
- Support health, welfare, retirement programs; administer leave (FMLA, state/company leave, and international leave where applicable).
- Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, FLSA; prepare payroll reports for audits and management requests.
- Support 401(k) testing, payroll audits, SOX controls, and compliance reporting.

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting/Business Administration/HR, or 5+ years equivalent payroll experience.
- Hands-on Workday Payroll and Time & Attendance experience (highly preferred).
- 5+ years payroll administration experience (preferably public company).
- Multi-state payroll experience (exempt/non-exempt); equity/RSU payroll preferred.
- SOX controls/audits/compliance frameworks experience (highly preferred).
- Strong attention to detail; manage complex confidential data.
- Advanced Excel, pivot tables, and reconciliations (highly preferred).

Compensation/Benefits
- Expected salary range: $120,000–$150,000.
