Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage healthcare data sources (pharmacy/medical claims, formulary, covered lives, and other real-world evidence) to answer business questions and quantify market dynamics.
- Support payer and provider contracting with pre- and post-deal analytics (contract performance, coverage, access measures, utilization trends).
- Collaborate with Market Access Strategy, Strategic Accounts, and cross-functional stakeholders to define analytical approaches and communicate insights.
- Apply advanced/predictive analytics (incl. AI/ML) to generate actionable insights.
- Deliver clear data storytelling to stakeholders; translate results into recommendations.
- Analyze payer coverage, formulary access, reimbursement, utilization management, provider adoption, healthcare utilization, and account performance; identify risks/opportunities/trends.
- Identify novel approaches and new data sources to inform Market Access strategy.
- Partner with internal data/tech teams and Privacy/Legal to ensure compliant use of healthcare data.
- Continuously improve processes/tools; manage multiple analytical projects and vendor deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs degree in a quantitative field.
- 4+ years of data/analytics experience.
- 2+ years in US pharma/healthcare analytics analyzing US healthcare data.
- SQL plus Python or R (or similar) for querying/analyzing data.
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MBA/MS/PhD).
- Knowledge of payer/provider contracting and related dynamics.
- Experience with healthcare utilization/insurance data (claims, formulary, coverage/covered lives).
- ML/AI/advanced statistics (e.g., regression, clustering, forecasting, optimization) and visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
