Position Summary
Manager, External Affairs to support Investor Relations, External Communications, and Scientific Communications.

Responsibilities
- Develop, draft, and execute investor/corporate materials (earnings and corporate presentations, press releases, executive talking points, Q&A documents, website content).
- Support quarterly earnings processes and investor engagement (conferences, non-deal roadshows).
- Maintain investor relations materials, presentation libraries, and key messaging for consistency.
- Monitor analyst research/estimates, peer activity, and industry news.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, Legal, Executive Leadership) to ensure timely, accurate external communications.
- Translate complex clinical/scientific/technical information for scientific, investor, patient, and general audiences.
- Plan and coordinate publications (author reviews, submission timelines, congress deliverables) with Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams.
- Monitor competitor publications and scientific meetings; maintain publication trackers across programs.
- Draft and support media statements, executive messaging, thought leadership, digital and social content; assist media relations and responses.
- Support patient advocacy, public policy, reputation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate integrated communication plans for milestones, clinical updates, regulatory events, congresses, and commercial initiatives; manage concurrent projects and timelines.
- Ensure scientific accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and quality.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, communications, journalism, public relations, business, or related.
- 5–8 years relevant experience in investor relations, corporate communications, and/or scientific communications (biotech/pharma preferred); may consider 4+ years with strong biotech/life sciences expertise and proven cross-functional communications leadership.
- Strong writing, scientific writing, project coordination, multi-stakeholder workflow experience, and ability to interpret data for diverse audiences.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and attention to tone/clarity/accuracy.
- Proven cross-functional effectiveness in fast-paced environments; strong analytical judgment, integrity, and discretion.

Compensation/Benefits
- Expected salary range: $120,000–$160,000.
