Manager, Disease Strategy Finance

Role: Manager, Disease Strategy Finance supports Vertex's Disease Strategy Teams by providing financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and scenario valuation to guide investment decisions and strategic planning. Responsibilities include managing Disease Area P&Ls, preparing financial models across biopharma research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization, and leading collaboration financials for internal and external reporting. The role contributes to the creation of the Annual Budget and Long-Range Plan, offering insights into risks, opportunities, and variances. It involves developing presentations for senior stakeholders and partnering with global finance functions supporting R&D, Biopharmaceutical Sciences, Manufacturing, and Commercial. Qualifications: B.S. in Finance, Economics, or a related field; 5+ years in finance, preferably within biotechnology or pharmaceuticals; understanding of biopharma R&D and commercialization processes; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business intelligence tools; strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. High-Value: Focus on biopharmaceutical financial planning, alliance/collaboration accounting experience preferred, hybrid work setup, with some flexibility.
