Manager, Data Product Management – Governance

Key Role Responsibilities
- Support data product governance: ownership, stewardship, controls, metadata expectations, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with business teams to collect, clarify, and prioritize data product needs.
- Translate business outcomes into requirements, acceptance criteria, and delivery-ready documentation for technical teams.
- Catalog, glossary & metadata management: maintain business glossaries, data dictionaries, metadata standards, and ensure catalog entries are searchable, understandable, and consistently defined.
- Coordinate data quality expectations with data owners, stewards, and functional partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technology, data engineering, architecture, privacy, legal, regulatory, and records management.
- Support repeatable operating models: processes, playbooks, governance forums, and communications to drive adoption.

Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
- Required Experience: 5+ years in data product management, data governance/stewardship, analytics, business analysis, or enterprise data enablement.
- Preferred: Experience in regulated environments (MedTech/healthcare/pharma).
- Skills: Data catalog(s), business glossaries, metadata management, data quality practices, requirements documentation; familiarity with Alation, Collibra, Jira, Confluence, Power BI (asset).
- Leadership: Communication, team management, analytical problem-solving, prioritization, and ability to influence business and technology teams.
