Job Summary
- Reporting to the Director, Operational Finance, the Manager, Costing is accountable for product costing and margins, inventory valuations, manufacturing finance, and cost analysis across multiple production facilities.
- Develop and maintain standard costs; analyze manufacturing and supply chain variances; support budgeting/forecasting; provide actionable insights to improve operational efficiency and gross margin performance.
- Partner with Brewery Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Commercial and Finance to ensure accurate costing, inventory reporting, and manufacturing performance measurement.

Key Responsibilities
Product Costing & Inventory Management
- Develop, maintain, and monitor standard costs for all SKUs, packaging formats, and production facilities.
- Ensure accurate costing of raw/packaging materials, labor, overhead, utilities, freight, and co-manufacturing; lead monthly cost rollups and standard cost updates.
- Oversee inventory valuation methodologies and ensure accounting compliance.
Manufacturing Finance & Variance Analysis
- Manage monthly close activities related to inventory and cost of goods sold.
- Analyze and explain manufacturing variances.
- Prepare monthly facility performance reports and KPI dashboards.
- Partner with brewery leadership to identify cost savings and operational improvements.
Financial Management, Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Develop consistent costing policies/procedures and reporting standards across locations.
- Benchmark facility performance and identify optimization opportunities.
- Lead manufacturing cost budgets and forecasts.
- Support annual operating plans and long-range financial planning.
Systems, Controls & Compliance
- Maintain costing accuracy within ERP systems.
- Serve as subject matter expert for ERP implementations/upgrades/process transformation.
- Ensure controls over inventory, manufacturing costs, and COGS reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in costing methodologies and reporting tools.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- CPA (or equivalent) preferred.

Experience
- 4–7+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing accounting.
- Experience in beverage alcohol, brewing, food manufacturing, CPG, or related industries.
- Experience supporting multiple production facilities.
- Strong standard costing and inventory accounting knowledge.
- ERP experience (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, JDE, Oracle, NetSuite).
- ERP implementations experience a plus.

Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling.
- Manufacturing cost accounting within an ERP.
- Inventory accounting and controls.

Compensation/Total Rewards
- Expected base salary range: USD $100,000–$125,000 annually.
