As a Manager, Project Management - Construction Services, you will lead planning, coordination, and execution of construction activities supporting capital, expense, and maintenance projects. Serve as the primary field representative coordinating construction and overseeing contractor execution for facility, utility, infrastructure, manufacturing, laboratory, and support projects.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate day-to-day construction activities; monitor contractor performance (scope, schedule, quality, cost)
- Manage work planning, site logistics, multi-trade interfaces; resolve construction issues
- Serve as primary field interface with contractors; ensure compliance with Pfizer standards and contractual obligations
- Review/coordinate RFIs, submittals, field clarifications, and change requests; manage resources/workforce loading
- Lead safety/quality/compliance (Pfizer EHS, OSHA; job hazard analyses, audits, quality inspections, punch-list)
- Support project controls (planning, constructability, progress/schedule/risk/KPI communication, cost/change/schedule/milestones)
- Maintain documentation and support turnover/commissioning/qualification/closeout
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 4 yrs OR Master’s + 2 yrs OR PhD + 0+ yrs OR Associate’s + 8 yrs OR HS + 10 yrs in engineering/construction mgmt/architecture/related
- 5+ yrs construction management/project execution/facilities engineering
- Experience managing contractors on capital/expense/maintenance projects
- Industrial/manufacturing/utility/highly regulated environment experience
Skills:
- Read/interpret engineering drawings/specs; understand construction sequencing/work packaging
- Project controls: schedule, cost tracking, earned value, change management; OSHA safety knowledge
Preferred:
- GMP/cGMP and validation; pharma/biotech/healthcare/food/GMP environments
- Certifications (PMP/CCM/PE/CHST/OSHA) or commissioning/qualification/startup experience; contractor procurement/contract admin/MSA
Work location: On-site at Pfizer manufacturing/research facility; periodic travel may be required.
Benefits/comp (as stated): $116,000–$193,400 base; bonus target 15% (Global Performance Plan); 401(k) match + retirement contribution; paid vacation/holidays/personal days; caregiver/parental + medical leave; medical/prescription/dental/vision.
