Role Summary
The Manager, Oncology Commercial Analytics is responsible for the development of reports and key insights for Incyte's US Oncology marketed and prelaunch brands. This role will be a critical lead supporting Oncology commercial analytics deliverables and insights generation, reporting to the Director, Commercial Analytics. This role will collaborate with Market Access/Trade, Sales, Product Strategy, Finance, and Forecasting leads to ensure alignment of key business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Document business specifications for reports that transition from ad-hoc to automation including reporting and visualization requirements.
- Prepare and QC data for consistency and uniformity.
- Provide analytical support to the patient access team (IncyteCARES) to ensure programs are operationally effective.
- Support the Trade & Distribution team with quarterly business reviews for specialty pharmacy performance, as well as 340B, GPO, and VA/DoD trends.
- Work in close partnership with Product Strategy, Sales, Market Access, Finance, and Business Operations colleagues to proactively identify, analyze, and address key business questions.
- Understand and effectively/succinctly present insights to cross-functional business partners, organized customer segments, and market access opportunities and threats for key brands.
- Synthesize, analyze and aggregate insights from disparate internal and external datasets to develop reports and conduct ad-hoc analyses to identify market trends and key insights.
- Support Commercial Operations and other Oncology-focused functional areas (e.g., Sales, Product Strategy, Market Access) with understanding key performance drivers within the Incyte oral and IV/IJ Oncology portfolio.
Qualifications
- Experience working with medical claims data (CMS 1500 and/or UB04) is beneficial, but not required.
- Experience working with wholesaler shipment data (867) and chargeback data is preferred.
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with pharmacy patient-level data (pharmacy prescription date, claims data, etc.) is preferred, but not required.
- Specialty pharmacy (SP) and specialty distributor (SD) knowledge.
- Experience with statistical analysis methods using software such as SAS, R, SPSS, or similar tools is beneficial, but not mandatory.
- Technical proficiency in querying, analyzing, and reporting on large data sets using tools such as SQL, SAS, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and Macros), and PowerPoint.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry through either vendor or pharmaceutical manufacturer is preferred, but not required.
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience in contributing to the development/enhancement of customer master data is valued.
