Role Summary

Manager, Change Management responsible for creating and implementing change management strategies and plans to increase employee adoption and usage, drive faster adoption, and maximize benefits realization, ROI, and outcomes. Focuses on the people side of change including planning, resource management, communications, stakeholder adoption, and training design and maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and execute multiple change management strategies in support of functional and/or cross-functional projects, including consistent and integrated change management, communications and training plans.
  • Apply structured Change Management methodology to large- and small-scale projects.
  • Manage Change Management Specialists and/or contractors.
  • Develop, manage, and execute comprehensive change strategies by applying a structured Change Management methodology to projects including consistent and integrated change management, communications, and training plans.
  • Collaborate with broader Cross Functional Teams, Senior Leadership, Stakeholders, and Change Management Team to build integrated plans and ensure timely delivery of deliverables to support business needs.
  • Conduct change impact analysis across people, process and technology dimensions, perform risk assessments and change readiness assessments to improve people ROI and lead transitions.
  • Leverage trusted partner relationships with leadership and project leads to identify and address gaps.
  • Define and measure success criteria and monitor Change Management progress.
  • Write and edit engaging and visually appealing communications in support of related projects, coordinating with the Director Change Manager as needed.
  • Support design, development, and deployment of training courses and assets using eLearning and blended solutions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training curriculum by creating and implementing measures to track outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience developing and delivering communication and training solutions, with strong group facilitation and excellent written communication skills.
  • Change Management Methodology Certification preferred (e.g., PROSCI, ACMP, or Managed Change Certification).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Education, Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or related field.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication style for diverse modalities and multicultural audiences.
  • Strong command of English and effective communication with employees at all levels, including executives.
  • Multilingual ability is preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Location: Open to candidates outside North Chicago, Illinois with requirement to commute to an AbbVie affiliate location three days per week.
