Job Description
This role provides capability leadership relating to Sample Management (Analytical/Micro/Environmental), Stability Study Operations, Reference Standard Management, and Lab Inventory Management for various AbbVie QA labs at more complex, larger sites. Develop multi-year strategies and roadmaps, bringing an innovative technology mindset to plan laboratory solutions that improve business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develops and promotes business cases; plans, oversees, and executes a portfolio of technology projects from ideation to completion, securing cross-functional alignment on scope, benefits, cost, and timelines.
- Provides management oversight and implementation of projects exceeding $14M.
- Ensures technology strategy and roadmaps optimize total cost of ownership and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Collaborates with local teams and solution vendors to minimize impact to production and ensure continuity and alignment with architecture/technology standards.
- Communicates and educates technical and business communities on current architectures and technologies.
- Identifies emerging business needs and evaluates technology solutions for short- and long-term objectives.
- Accountable for financial objectives and timelines, including monthly targets and implementation/maintenance while supporting a dynamic manufacturing portfolio.
- Builds a positive culture; monitors workload; interviews/hire/recommends adjustments; sets performance goals, conducts reviews, and assists with succession planning.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree or equivalent; minimum 10 yearsβ experience including laboratory background, business analysis, project management, and strategic execution.
- Self-directed leader.
- Excellent analytical, judgment, consultative, communication, and influencing skills.
- Lab Systems/Lab experience required (LIMS, ELN, CDS, Inventory, Asset Management).
