Responsibilities:
- Drive end-to-end delivery of cross-functional initiatives within IR, ensuring alignment to stakeholders, scope, timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements across BPMO and IR workflows, tools, and standards.
- Lead IR annual planning processes (e.g., Long-Range Plan, Capital Plan) to ensure initiatives and funding support IR strategic priorities.
- Provide accurate, timely reporting and insights to IR leadership; leverage PPM practices and tools (e.g., Clarity, Jira).
- Support resource management, reporting, and project management team leads as necessary.
- Drive communication, adoption, and change management for successful implementation of BPMO activities across IR.
- Provide internal operational coaching and consultation to IR colleagues.
- Establish and maintain strategic working relationships with IR, Finance, and selected external partners/suppliers.
- Represent IR by promoting AbbVie BTS’s strategic vision and imperatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree (7 years) or Master’s degree (6 years) or PhD (2 years) in a scientific or business field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management, business systems analysis, software deployment, or PMO administration.
- Experience leading in a multitask, virtual, and matrix environment.
- Excellent cross-functional negotiating and operational skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain high-quality relationships across the company and with external partners.
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to articulate and negotiate projects/priorities; conflict resolution, problem solving, and crisis management.
- Big-picture perspective balancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (FDA, European Union) and impact to organizational processes/tools.
- Vendor contracting/strategy experience.
