Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance expertise to service, repair, and maintain process and utility equipment (e.g., vial washing machines, sterilization tunnels, capping/sealing, filling equipment, conveyor systems, vision inspection, laser marking, robotics, and other pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment).
- Work effectively with customers; address questions with tact and strong customer service.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Improve equipment uptime, line efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness via condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and support of engineering changes.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment using mechanical aptitude and follow departmental rules.
- Follow safety procedures; develop knowledge of the production line and upstream/downstream interactions.
- Assist with setup/changeover; understand critical process parameters.
- Diagnose root causes, implement corrective actions to minimize downtime, and accurately document repairs.
- Assist outside primary duties and learn other required skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Minimum 2 years maintenance or manufacturing experience.
- Completion of post-offer exam or work simulation (if applicable).
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; Lilly does not sponsor work authorization/visas.
Additional Skills/Preferences:
- English proficiency; use business software (e.g., GMARS, Microsoft Outlook/Office).
- Teamwork, safety/PPE; ability to climb stairs/ladders and work around equipment.
- Familiar with lathe/mill/surface grinder/drill press; read shop prints.
- Hands-on repair experience; industrial electrical basics using VOM/Amprobe; applicable military training; production machine maintenance or machine shop experience.
Additional Information:
- Night 12-hour shift (6pmβ6am), overtime as needed; exposure to hazardous equipment/powders/liquids/gases; fit-for-duty test required.
