Maintenance Technician III (Days)

Shift: 10-hour shifts (Days or Nights); alternating schedule Mon–Thu one week, Tue–Fri the next. Eventually shifts adjust to a 2-2-3 schedule with 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer-oriented maintenance support in a biopharma manufacturing environment (RTP site).
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Reliability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
- Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance on process equipment and utilities.
- Provide technical direction to maintenance technicians and junior team members.
- Support reliability programs (spare parts strategy, equipment lifecycle management).
- Serve as SME for maintenance in capital projects (maintainability and spare parts readiness).
- Manage vendors/contractors (onboarding, training, performance oversight).
- Review/approve/close work orders in CMMS; partner with planners on scheduling priorities.
- Maintain GMP-compliant maintenance documentation and records.
- Support investigations, deviations, CAPAs, and change controls; ensure timely closure in TrackWise.
- Track maintenance compliance metrics (work order performance, safety, GMP adherence).
- Follow SOPs and maintain safety/quality culture.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- 2+ years maintenance experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/regulated manufacturing.
- Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting experience for process equipment/utilities.
- Mechanical systems knowledge; familiarity with electrical/control systems.
- Experience with CMMS for work order management.
- Ability to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand long periods and work in cleanrooms requiring gowning.
Preferred Skills:
- Skilled trades/vocational training/apprenticeship.
- Reliability engineering principles/asset lifecycle planning.
- Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) knowledge and safe work practices.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
Entry Level.
Compensation & Benefits (if eligible):
- Base pay range: $31.25–$40.87.
