The Position:
- Improve systems/equipment reliability on assigned process, reduce downtime, and support operation of assigned process.
Essential Functions:
- Follow SOPs; develop maintenance procedures/plans and spare parts lists
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance (timely)
- Interpret mechanical/electrical specifications, drawings, and technical data sheets
- Work rotating/night/extended shifts and/or weekends
- Document maintenance activities in SAP
- Partner with process owners to improve reliability/performance
- Develop, coach, and train maintenance team; learn new systems
- Lead Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) and Root Cause Analysis to resolve equipment issues
- Work with engineers/manufacturing to troubleshoot; implement practical improvements
- Follow all safety/environmental requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in related field (or equivalent military/industry training) + 5+ years manufacturing experience required
- Alternatively: High School diploma/equivalent + 7+ years relevant experience
- Experience leading troubleshooting, preventive/predictive maintenance, and root cause analysis
- Experience training/mentoring on maintenance processes and technical documentation (SOPs/PMs, SAP)
- Planning/organizing and work management experience (plus)
Physical Requirements (summary):
- Lift/move up to 33 lbs; be on feet up to 12-hour shifts; operate/inspect equipment; may require ladder/elevated work, confined space entry training, and PPE.
