The Position
Improve systems & equipment reliability on assigned process, reduce system/equipment downtime, and support operation of assigned process.
Relationships
Reports to Senior Project Manager β OFP.
Essential Functions
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Support development/establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists
- Perform corrective & preventative maintenance timely
- Interpret mechanical/electrical specifications, drawings, and technical data sheets
- Work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts and/or weekends
- Document maintenance activities correctly in SAP
- Partner with process owners to improve performance and reliability
- Train fellow technicians and learn new systems
- Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools for Root Cause Analysis and equipment issue resolution
- Suggest practical equipment and work-practice improvements
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers & Manufacturing to troubleshoot equipment problems
Physical Requirements
- Move equipment/supplies up to 33 lbs; be on feet up to 12-hour shifts; use hands to operate/inspect equipment
- May require corrected vision (to 20/25), color vision, ladder/elevated work, and work around hazardous materials
- May require working in loud noise with hearing protection; confined spaces; occasional cold/outdoor conditions
- Powered industrial truck driving exam; no valid drivers license required
Qualifications
- Associateβs degree (relevant field) or equivalent military/industry training; thorough understanding of mechanical/electrical/control systems
- Minimum 1 year relevant experience
- Regulated industry & solid dose manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read/write technical documentation, SOPs, maintenance plans, PMs, and work orders preferred
- Understanding schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs preferred; computer literacy preferred; SAP experience preferred
