Role Summary
Maintenance Technician - Calibration at the Indianapolis Radioligand Therapy facility. The role focuses on installing, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining instrumentation used in the manufacturing, testing, and storage of pharmaceuticals. The technician will work with potentially hazardous equipment, communicate with operations, validation, and engineering teams, and support daily manufacturing to ensure equipment performance and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Calibrate, install, troubleshoot, and adjust equipment used to control and measure variables such as pressure, temperature, dimensional, mass, and motion.
- Maintain safety as a primary focus and abide by applicable safety procedures and practices.
- Maintain the effectiveness of the Quality System relevant to this position.
- Develop and maintain test procedures to verify instrument measurement performance.
- Enter data into CMMS databases, review calibration documentation, and create calibration certificates/work plans.
- Author and/or assist in nonconformance reports and deviations associated with instrument performance.
- Communicate instrumentation problems with equipment owners and site leadership.
- Coordinate with vendors for the shipping/receiving of calibration equipment.
- Maintain 5S principles in the Metrology laboratory and personal workspace.
- Diagnose root causes of problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime quickly and accurately.
- Willing to assist in areas outside of primary responsibilities and learn other skills/aspects of the business.
Qualifications
- Required: Adequate interpersonal and communications skills to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Required: Ability to work safely and maintain a safe work environment; support all HSE corporate and site goals.
- Required: Ability to read and understand equipment drawings/electrical schematics.
- Required: Regular exertion including standing/walking for extended periods; lifting/carrying more than 15 and up to 50 pounds; occasional sitting and computer use.
- Preferred: English literacy for technical and business communication; ability to use common business software (e.g., Microsoft Office, RAM systems); ability to work effectively in a team; familiarity with PPE and working around equipment; hands-on repair experience; ability to use basic troubleshooting tools (multimeters, calipers); CMMS experience (Maximo/Blue Mountain RAM).

Education
- Associate Degree in engineering/engineering technology (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a GMP/GDP facility (pharmaceutical, medical device, nuclear, food, etc.).
Additional Requirements
- The position supports a 24/7 operation and requires flexibility to provide support for decision-making and issue resolution as necessary.
- Occasional travel may be required for training, conferences, capital projects, etc.
