Major accountabilities:
- Adhere to Novartis Quality Policies and procedures.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance and repair activities on production equipment, lab equipment, and building management systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair process equipment (e.g., containment isolator systems, filling line equipment and utilities such as mechanical/electrical wiring, pneumatics, motors, pumps, vacuum systems, HVAC, control systems, compressed gases).
- Interpret P&IDs, equipment/system layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Support 24x7 site-based operations after startup.
- Write/revise operational procedures, training documents, and maintenance procedures for production and utility systems.
- Provide radiation safety program support; calibrate and ensure radiation detection equipment functionality.
- Complete and accurately document equipment work orders in the CMMS.
- Provide technical data to secure spare parts.
- Support startup and commissioning as required; support investigations/deviations and provide data for timely closure of deviations and CAPAs.
- Perform preventative/corrective maintenance in cleanroom environments and complete accurate cGMP documentation.
- Oversee work and provide training to less experienced/new technicians.

Minimum requirements/qualifications:
- High school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred).
- 1+ years hands-on plant maintenance experience in a regulated GMP environment.
- Preferred: aseptic fill/finish and/or radio pharmacy; pharmaceutical/medical device experience; training in radioactive/hazardous materials environment.
- Ability to meet OSHA/DEA/FDA/EMEA/ANVISA/HS&E and other applicable quality/regulatory requirements.
- Team experience; excellent communication/organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, building management systems, and CMMS.
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs; work in protective clothing (respiratory protection, confined space entry, cleanroom environments).
- Flexible for nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Location/shift:
- Onsite; 2nd shift (6pm–6am; 2x2x3).
