Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift Oral Care

Maintenance Technician | Asset Reliability Technician (Oral Care) — Kentwood, MI

Shift: 3rd (Sunday Night start) Monday–Friday; Saturday OT as needed; 8-hour shifts (10:30pm–6:40am). Potential to evolve into an apprenticeship opportunity.

Scope/Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment; suggest process improvement methods; participate in continuous improvement projects.
- Service intermediate electrical and machine controls circuits (conveyor drive system; motor starter circuits incl. VFDs; I/O switch functions; equipment wiring/grounding; A/C & D/C electronic concepts).
- Proficient in hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems.
- Read/interpret relay and PLC ladder logic.
- Assist with machine installations and recommend/implement equipment upgrades.

Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Thorough working knowledge of primary mechanical, electrical, and machine controls.
- Preferred: 2–4 years formal education in industrial/electrical maintenance (accredited technical center) or approved apprenticeship; plus 2–5 years applicable work experience.
- Ability to follow written/oral instructions in English (safety/quality/GMP).
- Aptitude in mechanical/electrical controls and pneumatics/vacuum.
- Familiar with current machinery/control technologies.
- Support GMP implementation and understand impact on products/processes.
- Experience with robotic systems and automation.
