Operations
Role Overview
- Maintenance support and mechanical system operations for cGMP Clinical and Commercial Cell Therapy Manufacturing on a modified second shift (approximately noonβ8:30pm).
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC (including clean room HVAC), refrigeration, clean steam, cryogenic storage, and process equipment/systems; perform reactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance; apply plumbing/pipefitting/millwright knowledge with journeyman status in at least one craft.
- Perform minor upgrades and installations.
- Support equipment and critical utilities maintenance and compliance; assist with projects, cost-improvement, asset management, reliability, and business operations.
- Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and drawings; use GDP documentation practices on CMMS work orders.
- Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation, electrical devices/circuits, switchgear, controls, and motors up to 600 volts; operate/maintain switchgear.
- Support maintenance-driven quality events (Deviations/Investigations, OOTs, Change Controls, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA).
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and site policies; work independently with minimal oversight; accommodate schedule changes and on-call support.
Requirements
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Biological/Biochemical Science/Bioengineering or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Trade/Technical School or craft certification (military equivalent acceptable); 8+ years in industrial manufacturing/regulated environment (ideally cGMP aseptic cleanroom); proficiency in more than one craft.
- CMMS experience required; English proficiency.
Preferred Skills
- Pharmaceuticals industry; controlled cleanroom aseptic; HVAC/cleanroom maintenance; validated/qualified equipment familiarity.
