Position: Maintenance Repair Technician (2nd Shift)
Hourly rate range: $30.00–$38.00
Location: US – Chicago Heights, IL

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, improvements, and modifications to production, utility, and facility equipment (e.g., fermenters, drying equipment, baggers, palletizers, pumps, air compressors, boilers, mechanical equipment).
- Train others on maintenance of mechanical equipment/systems in compliance with SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, and government regulations.
- Serve as a maintenance advisor for equipment design, parts/material selection, documentation, testing, problem solving, maintenance requirements, project scope, and follow-up.
- Assist with troubleshooting/diagnostics; work with operations to determine root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct assembly, repair, and proactive maintenance for packaging, fermentation, utility, and facility equipment and systems.
- Review equipment operation to identify deficiencies/improvements to increase OEE.
- Read and use drawings/blueprints for installation/repairs of new and existing equipment.
- Use precision measuring devices and machinist’s shop tools.

Technical Skills Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical/bio-technology industry operations; demonstrated technical knowledge.
- Solid understanding of GMP manufacturing processes, equipment, and facilities.
- Ability to communicate/organize and interact with all levels; frequent interaction with engineering, quality, production, technicians, contractors, and vendors.
- Analyze problems and recommend corrective/preventive actions with minimal assistance.
- Manage multiple assignments; flexible and responsive to change.
- Computer proficiency (email/internet/online training; Microsoft Office Word/Excel).

Education & Experience:
- Journeyman Certificate with 3–5 years manufacturing experience, OR Technical/Vocational diploma with 5–8 years machine repair or machinist-related work experience.
