Role Summary
LTC PAM Lead responsible for guiding a high-performing team of Patient Access Managers to ensure seamless access to therapies for patients in long-term care facilities. Field-based leadership role focused on shaping and executing the long-term care access strategy, collaborating with internal stakeholders, providers, LTC facilities, and pharmacies. Non-promotional leadership role centered on impact, alignment, and execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of strategic and tactical initiatives for the LTC PAM team
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development of PAM team members to build LTC-specific expertise
- Drive change/resolution of coverage policy issues with field-based National Accounts, including commercial and government payers
- Conduct field visits to evaluate LTC PAM execution in facility and pharmacy settings
- Translate corporate patient access strategies into actionable execution for LTC facilities and pharmacies
- Ensure team drives completion and follow-through of LTC qualifying referrals
- Serve as the primary escalation point for LTC PAM escalations
- Lead internal teams to achieve common goals
- Represent LTC PAM insights in business reviews, trainings, and cross-functional meetings
- Partner with Trade & Distribution and cross-functional partners to achieve common goals
- Identify access solutions and determine plans for resolution, leading cross-functional teams as needed
- Collaborate with National Patient Support & Access Directors to train/onboard PAMs and evolve the team as needs change
- Develop and drive metrics to measure performance and communicate to stakeholders
- Address LTC-specific payer challenges
- Develop and mentor team members to support individual and team success
- Oversee personnel actions including hiring, performance management, coaching, career development, and promotions
- Ensure all actions comply with laws, regulations, policies, and Acadia values
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree and 8 years of relevant experience in Pharmaceutical Sales, Access, National Accounts, Specialty Pharmacy, Nursing, etc., with extensive access/reimbursement expertise; 5 years of access/reimbursement experience
- 3 years of leadership experience (Market Access, Patient Access, National Accounts, Sales Management, or Access Leadership)
- 2+ years of LTC experience preferred; MBA is a plus
- Commercial and Managed Access expertise preferred with strong field healthcare experience
