Role Summary
LPN/LVN sought for a Grifols Plasma Donation Center in Cincinnati, OH. This role supports donor care in a plasma center by performing medical assessments, educating donors, and maintaining donor and staff confidentiality. You will evaluate donor history, manage donor injuries and adverse events, and contribute to staff training in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical examination and establish medical history to determine donor suitability
- Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction
- Ensure donor and staff confidentiality
- Responsible for donor awareness to potential hazards
- Provide donor education regarding general health and counseling regarding unacceptable test results
- Evaluate and manage donor injuries and adverse events
- Perform evaluations of any history of illness or medications to ensure continued donor suitability
- Assist in employee training
- Administer employee Hepatitis Vaccine program
Qualifications
- Required: Educated and currently certified/licensed in the state of employment and according to state requirements as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocation Nurse, Paramedic, or EMT. Current CPR certification required.

Additional Requirements
- Stand or sit for up to 2 to 4 hours per day
- Bend and twist of neck up to 1 to 2 hours per day
- Frequent hand movements; ability to grasp and manipulate objects
- Occasional walking, bending, twisting at waist; may squat or crouch
- Light lifting of 15 lbs with a maximum lift of 50 lbs; may reach below shoulder height
- Hearing acuity essential; color perception and vision requirements (near and far)
- Ability to communicate information effectively and listen to others
- Works independently and with guidance of oral or written instructions
- Work in a plasma center; exposure to biological fluids and potential infectious agents
- Exposure to electrical office and laboratory equipment
- Exposure to extreme cold below 32 degrees F while performing functions in plasma freezers; PPE required
