Logistics Coordinator (Remote)

Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international transportation bookings for patient leukapheresis collections, starting materials, intermediates, and finished drug products.
- Schedule and confirm shipments with approved specialty logistics providers and courier partners.
- Ensure transportation arrangements align with manufacturing schedules, patient treatment dates, and chain of identity/chain of custody requirements.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, customs paperwork, and transportation instructions.
- Verify shipment readiness; ensure required packaging, labeling, and documentation are available prior to dispatch.
- Monitor shipments from pickup through final delivery using TMS and courier tracking platforms.
- Provide proactive oversight of critical patient shipments, including planned timelines and temperature requirements.
- Investigate transportation delays, route deviations, temperature excursions, and delivery issues; coordinate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and tracking information in designated systems.
- Serve as primary communication point for shipment status updates; provide timely updates on milestones, exceptions, and risks.
- Coordinate communication across treatment centers, manufacturing, couriers, quality, scheduling, and patient operations.
- Facilitate escalation management and provide shipment status reports in daily operational meetings.
- Ensure logistics activities comply with GDP, GMP, GxP, IATA, DOT, and applicable regulatory requirements; maintain chain of identity and custody documentation.
- Support deviation investigations and root cause analysis; contribute to SOP development and process improvements.

Preferred Qualifications / Required Knowledge
- Experience in cell and gene therapy, biopharmaceutical, clinical trial, or healthcare logistics.
- Knowledge of chain of identity and chain of custody.
- Familiarity with cryogenic/temperature-controlled transportation.
- Experience managing international shipments and customs documentation.
- Experience with TMS or logistics control tower operations.
