Linux Engineer

Role: Senior Linux Engineer supporting Moderna’s research and production environments within a biopharma context. Responsibilities: manage enterprise Linux systems (Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, RHEL) across cloud (AWS, Azure) and on-premises, automate infrastructure with scripting and IaC tools, troubleshoot system/network issues, ensure high availability/security, support containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes), and maintain storage solutions. Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and contribute to observability efforts. Requirements: Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or equivalent; 3-5 years supporting Linux in hybrid multi-cloud setups; strong troubleshooting skills; experience with patching, security, and enterprise infrastructure. Preferred: Certifications (RHCE, AWS, CISSP); experience in regulated, security-sensitive environments (GxP, DISA-STIG, PCI).
