Role Overview

The Site project portfolio Leader will support, mentor and manage the Swiftwater portfolio management team within Swiftwater Strategy and Portfolio function. The position is responsible to meet site CAPEX/OPEX and reporting metrics. The leader will ensure the project portfolio and project resources are aligned with the objectives of applicable Site critical business needs, Shine and M&S vaccines quality metrics, on time delivery of performance metrics reporting. The position coaches and mentors the team to deliver the expected performance. This is a critical role in the overall Site portfolio management of the projects and coordination with all functions supporting projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach, mentor, and address issues of the portfolio management team, lead cross-functional and end-to-end planning and execution of site CAPEX/OPEX to facilitate and support schedules, budgets, communications, and project risks. Support delivery of project objectives on time, budget and quality, considering risks and working closely with project team members.
  • Build and manage site project portfolio that meets the annual budget and Strat forecast and identify critical paths and key milestones towards ensuring timely delivery of projects.
  • Build and manage resource plans in alignment with project timelines. Ensure resources are anticipated, planned/budgeted and allocated to meet project demands.
  • Coordinate M&S product flows between multiple sites and CMOs. Coordinate with M&S Finance at local, other sites, and corporate.
  • Challenge underlying assumptions on work stream budgets, schedules, and resources with function/work stream leaders. Collect, enter, and maintain/update information from workstreams in SHINE as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams on budgets and schedules to ensure up-to-date status; provide timely planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting to enable business decisions. Consolidate, monitor, challenge, and reforecast budgets, schedules, resources, and risks.
  • Provide project teams and leadership with consolidated financial and timeline information (forecasts and actuals). Define KPIs and report progress; perform financial and business analyses as needed and explain variances.
  • Coordinate scope changes with governance committees, focusing on financial and regulatory impact; ensure follow-up and communication of changes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, such as timeline acceleration while balancing cost and quality; communicate lessons learned across the project management function.
  • Organize and manage project steering committee meetings and other stakeholder meetings.
  • Support PMF in applying Project Management Guidebook and Sanofi Pasteur standards; lead initiatives to improve project management practice across Swiftwater VIA, including training and resource forecasting practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Engineering or Science
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, food or fine chemicals)
  • Experience with project management processes, schedules, resource estimation, and budget estimation (CAPEX and OPEX)
  • Ability to develop business cases and consolidate workstream financial information
  • MS Excel and MS PowerPoint expertise

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) desirable
  • SAP experience desirable
  • Planisware (SHINE) expertise
